What I do
When I founded SQS in 1982 together with Rudolf van Megen as a limited liability company at that time, it soon became clear that we had struck a chord. At that time the experts assumed that testing through automated software generation would soon have run out of steam. However, in our first few projects we discovered what a large demand there was for independent quality assurers. From these first few days I helped to ensure that the expertise of SQS played an important part in the decision-making of the management of the company – most recently as Chief Operational Officer of SQS AG.
What I value
At the end of 2007 I left the managing board in order to use my many years of experience to a greater extent in projects once again and to pass this on to the people involved with the latter. I really enjoy this role as "elder statesman of quality assurance". After all these eventful and extremely successful years, I can now pass on the lessons I have learnt to the current project teams.
What the future holds
I am convinced that the demand for software quality management and testing will not only stand the test of time but will even grow further. In doing so the independence and wide-ranging expertise of SQS as a "pure play" service-provider will continue to drive the company onward and upward.
