Prof. Dr. Werner Mellis
Prof. Dr. Werner Mellis Chairman of the Supervisory Board

Born in 1951, is a professor of information systems specialising in software engineering management. After studying mathematics and physics at the University of Cologne, he was awarded a doctorate in mathematics in 1980. From 1984 to 1992 he held executive positions with Nixdorf Computer AG, in the area of product development, and with Daimler Benz AG, in the area of research and development, prior to his appointment as professor at Cologne University in 1993.

Jeremy Hamer
Jeremy Hamer Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board

Born in 1953, was appointed to the Supervisory Board on 25 August 2005. A qualified chartered accountant, he was previously an associate of Elderstreet Private Equity Limited. He is also a director of a number of other quoted and unquoted companies, including Inter Link Foods plc and Avingtrans plc, and is non-executive chairman of Glisten plc and Berkeley Scott Group plc.

Matthias Baunach
Matthias Baunach Member of the Supervisory Board

Born in 1955, is the employees' representative at the Supervisory Board since March 3rd 2009. After receiving a Master of Business and Engineering (Dipl. Wirtsch.-Ing.) at University of Darmstadt, Germany, Matthias began his career at Andersen Consulting and proceeded by working for DEG-Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft, Boehringer Ingelheim, Warner Lambert/Pfizer and Steria Mummert Consulting. Since January 2009 Matthias is Principal Consultant at the SAP Center of Excellence.

 
The Supervisory Board of SQS Software Quality Systems AG advises and supervises the Management Board, e.g. by deciding on certain restricted matters that require Supervisory Board approval. The Management Board reports regularly to the Supervisory Board and discusses important decisions of SQS Group with the Supervisory Board. Furthermore, the Supervisory Board is in charge of appointing and dismissing members of the Management Board and represents the company vis-à-vis the members of the Management Board. The Supervisory Board decides on the remuneration of the members of the Management Board and the other terms of the service contracts of the Management Board members. The Supervisory Board of SQS Software Quality Systems AG consists of three members and does not have committees.
