SQS Process Improvement is our standard approach to performing independent assessment of process capability and maturity for standard process models such as CMMI, SPICE and ITIL.
The approach helps organisations to reduce project risks and improve the quality of delivered applications. It is based on worldwide standards and on more than 28 years of SQS experience.
SQS Process Improvement has four stages:
- Initialisation:
- Analysis of opportunities and threats, to understand our client's position and objectives
- Agreement on objectives and scope, including selection of adequate process model
- Definition of support requirements
- Identification of client ”sponsor” for the review
- Assessment:
- Interviews based on the reference model requirements
- Feedback and discussion with the client
- Validation of results, assets, processes, deficits and service issues
- Report and recommendations:
- Presentation of the assessment report
- Improvement proposals, potential ROI
- Prioritisation of improvement recommendations
- Roadmap for implementation (for improvements)
- Setup and planning of the improvement project (Including approach, budget, risk and success criteria)
- Improvement implementation:
- Definition and implementation of process changes
- Support for pilot projects
- Analysis of success (KPI-based)
- Change Management and project management for the improvement project
